The next stretch of games is not ideal for how we've played. Imo for a team that brought it back with the roster the lack of off-season is slowly becoming a bad excuse as we reach the 10 game mark in the next few days.

no this is pretty much the time, the need to play well and take 1 of 2 in regulation, that would be a step in the right direction

I fear this will be a poop show and I have my buddy who is a NY fan coming over to watch the game outside with me, ugh.

Plus, if I lived in Florida, I’d probably be watching Flyers games outside on my deck, patio, boat, too.

Ah Florida. I just assumed we were all stuck in this miserable sub 20 degree weather. Thankfully we are relocating in the spring south. They have hockey down south finally so its acceptable

They don’t match up well with the isles and they’ll need to play a lot better to stay in this one. Need to keep he tying points here even with injuries.

Hope hart can stand on his head again. We’ll need it

We have three zones of weather on our peninsula in the winter. The Northern tier of counties get Southern 'We have no idea what's next.' climate. Get lower and it's TAMPA (Land of Champions) Orlando style and cool snaps are a surprise. Going from Ft Myers to Miami you are in the Swamp land and it's Caribbean, where you are rarely punished with a freeze and every exotic species comes to play.
Leaving the doors open is a frequent aid and the birds chirp.
Not the worse situation.
Twenties......NOOOOO!!!!

I have feeling similar to Boston match up: not a good one. Hopefully the 3rd period from the Devils game carries over.

I agree splitting it will be good enough.

I got my undergrad degree in Florida. My father in law is down there too. I told my wife I wouldn't go down until they had hockey rinks. Now they have hockey rinks and Tom Brady (her family is from New England area) so we agreed its time

we're 5-2-1 with only one game played with Couturier

we haven't looked great but usually 8 games into the season these guys are shaking off the rust in exhibition games

If we play like we have most nights of late, it’s going to be an ugly destruction. Can’t expect tenders to save our asses every night

My fear is we won when the other teams are loose defensively. We haven't really beat a defensive stalwart. And the isles won't give us an inch there

It is a huge concern but another poster makes a good point. Poor overall play yet the Flyers are 4th in the league in the standings. Normally when a stretch of crap play comes they get buried in the standings.

So happy AV called out his top 2 lines last post-game, it just goes to show you that offensive stats can be very misleading. On the surface looking a G's, JVR's, Jake's or TK's numbers you would think they are all off a great start averaging about 1 pt/game, and clearly they have scored some nice goals this year. However, clearly there is more to it than this. AV rightly pointed to the veteran leadership as the reason the Flyers have not been prepared to play at the start of the these games, they are failing to set the tone early and lead by example. I hope they got the message and wake up, because we all know up to this point the Flyers are no where close to as good as their 5-2-1 record would indicate.

Very true, who can forget those two 10-game loosing streaks. If they did that this year to start the season, the season would be effectively over.
